IBS The real story : FW from a friend

As I am an employee of ibs and work in one of the most revenue

minting product of ibs.Let me quote whats going on inside ibs
specifically the one i am in..

let me quote an example…u make a soap for 15 rs..there is no one to
buy..but after an year there are 20 ppl to

buy…but they are not willing to take
ur soap for 20 rs..tat is 5rs
profit..so we sell it for 10 rs..this is a

magic soap and need not be produced again..just copy the soap and
paste..[ibs makes products] so if we sell a soap

whose initial cost is 15 rs..and sell it for 20 client for 10 rs..tat
is 20 x 10 = 200 rs.. this is how ibs makes

profit..and ibs is very successful in getting a lot of clients..so
even the the aviation industry is down..we got many clients and that
ensures we are always running in profit.. hope everyone has got the
point..

so please understand that ibs is not financially down to cut the
jobs..its a hidden agenda.

VK Mathews has lost control over ibs since some years and many new
faces are taking the control.VK used to tell at every meetings tat ibs
has never fired anyone at the 9/11 recession time..so why now wen we
are making a hell lot

of profits.

There are new HR faces like anthony joseph and other influencial
people.VK Mathews has lost control over his company when the new faces
arrived.Its their reforms which are happening now.

The cost cutting is to make up for a loses made by HR people,who
recruited 300 freshers last year.When the appraisal time comes they
shud be given 8000+ as increment plus the other employees.The
oversight of the HR people
lead ibs into trouble.And they stopped this years appraisal.

The cost cutting measures include.

1. Swithching off A/C after 7pm..people who sit for late night work are roasted.
2. No A/C on saturdays and sundays..some ppl hav started bringing USB fans.
3. Before we used to get biscuits like goodday and bourbourn..now
duplicate biscuit of tiger we get.
4. There is no tissue in washroom.
5. Cut the evening snacks amount.and introduced new workflow..due to
this some employees miss out the evening snacks.
6.took away the uniform allowance tax benefits.
7. No fresh recruitments are done..IBS clients are growing,but
resources to code remain the same..lack of resources to support large
client numbers.

Ibs used to boast about the key points..one of them is Respect for
Individuals.This is never true.

Now employees work under fear.They are made to bruteforce work
threatening them with job loss.

Its a common thing that there are no saturdays and sundays in ibs…like
the caption says "everyday is a
celebration in ibs" "everyday is a working day in ibs" ...

IBS got policies like compo off..but no one is given comp off..If
asked we would get escalations and high level
advices.
IBS makes products and products once made only needs to be bug fixed
and maintained.Though the initial cost is high.The costs after it is
much much lesser.IBS uses freewares mostly.Eclipse,j2ee technologies
for developments.The clients have to buy the license,so that is also
not a loss for IBS.

The shameful thing to say is that IBS used pirated softwares to
develop products and they sell it for crores of
rupees.The most pirated software used is TOAD from Quest
Software..There are more than 1000 pirated copies of this
software in IBS.Same is the case with Winzip.So if IBS follows
software anti piracy..I request IBS to show the good
way and use paid software for the development.If someone knows how to
report this piracy to Quest Software,please
do so.

This job cuts simply make use of the situations now to pursue the
agenda to make ibs a billion dollar company by 2010.And this has been
made hard by the oversight of HR.And now they are making others the
scapegoat.It seems like
every employees in ibs has lost trust in the company and are
demotivated.I request everyone of u to spread this
message as far as possible.

This is truly what happens inside ibs.Any ibsians please comment if i
have written anything wrong
here..

VK ,Is this what you want your company to become ? . Please take an
immeadiate action.IBS employees
are begining to react.And one day it will take
ur company down.Fire
your newly appointed shitheads and old men.They
are dictators.Hmm who knows VK too have a hand in this..who knows..

Freshers : Be warned..ibs was a good company to work before.Not
anymore.You will be doomed.

Experienced: Stay where you are.IBS is not safe.People who come from
outside IBS are more likely to get fired.

To the employees of IBS : havent you had enough of your commitment to
ibs.You are not safe anymore.

 to IBS : you may become a billion dollar company..its our sweat nd
blood.But the fall will be more painful when you
goto more heights forgetting your support.

"EVEN IN THE WORST STORM, THE TREE WITH DEEP ROOTS WILL SURVIVE"..
SO what I would like to tel my friends is. " Don't fall like a big
tree in a deep forest, that doesn't make any sound to the world
outside".
